Episode 29: The [Charizard] Disease

"Never mistake a bad day for a bad life." Easier said than done though, am I right? For this week's guest, adding up all the bad days would logically sum up a pretty dark outcome. But not for KJ. In this episode, the [ir]Regulars introduce us to a young man who has undergone four neurosurgeries since the age of 12 - one of which has been performed on approximately 3,000 people... ever... throughout the world. While navigating the road to recovery, KJ talks about how he created his "new normal" and the vital role that his unwavering positivity has played in his journey to survival.

Episode 28: [Secure] the Bag

Guilty pleasures. We all have them. While some are easy to indulge in - like binge eating Doritos in bed at 2:00 am - others can be a bit more challenging to satiate... like being called a "pathetic loser" and humiliated for sexual pleasure. This week, the [ir]Regulars explore the world of fetishes with a Sarah, a young woman who works in a law office by day and specializes in fulfilling fantasies online by night. Sarah opens up about cashing in the guilty pleasures of men and what it has been like for her personally and in her relationships. In the second half of the episode, we are joined by Sarah's boyfriend, Eric, to get his perspective as the significant other to a virtual, money-making mistress.

Episode 27: My Dad [Is]

Among hundreds of other silver-lined clichés, it's been said that grief is the price we pay for love. In this episode, the [ir]Regulars are joined by Nicole who paid the ultimate price when she lost her dad to cancer in 2018, two weeks before she was supposed to get married. Sharing her journey as her dad's primary caregiver during his final months, Nicole opens up about the ugly truths of what grief of a loved one is like... without the poetic quotes.

This week, we hear from Shannon about her journey learning to accept and love the skin she's in. With symptoms and obstacles that closely mirror an addiction to drugs or alcohol, Shannon shares her story about her lifelong struggle with one thing that we as humans can never outrun: food.
